This guide has been created to assist IT Administrators and End Users in confirming communication between Pitram Client Applications and Pitram Server services.
Overview:
Micromine Pitram requires open communication on numerous network ports to ensure events are transmitted between the Pitram Control Room/Mobile applications (Data Acquisition, Event Editor, Pitram Mobile) and the Pitram Application Server. Following the steps below will ensure free and open communication between the client applications and the Pitram application server.
Steps:
- From the Control Room PC (Or other remote device intending on connecting to server), Launch Windows PowerShell from the start menu.
- Enter the following and press enter:
Test-NetConnection -ComputerName "ComputerName" -Port "Port"Note: The "ComputerName" is the DNS Address or IP address of your Pitram Application Server, the "Port" is one of the following:
The must be entered without the double quotation.Service Port General Server Service 951 Event Server Service 952 Reference Data Service 953 Business Model Service 954
Example: If you wanted to test if ESS gRPC port (952) is reachable on IP: 192.168.0.191
You would run: Test-NetConnection -ComputerName 192.168.0.191 -Port 952
- The result of the Connection test is displayed at the bottom if the port is reachable it will result in: True
Conversely, the result will be false if the port is unreachable.
