Equipment on site requiring Pitram Mobile will be assigned a tablet. Data sources will need Pitram Mobile application, and Ad Hoc Network Service installed. Data carriers will need Pitram Mobile application, Ad Hoc Network Service, and Postman Installed.
Install Mobile
- Retrieve IP of tablet from site. Connect to tablet with Remote application of choice such as UltraVNC.
- Open web browser and navigate to the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\mobileupdate folder in the server that contains the PitramMobile.exe file. For example http://SERVERIP/mobileupdate/
- Click and Run PitramMobile.exe;
- Accept the License Agreement
- Select Destination Location: Select appropriate folder for Mobile installation
- Select PITRAM Application Data Location: Select appropriate folder
- Select Language
- Enter Update Location: Select appropriate folder for Updates. If you do not know, check in the “Application Update Settings” table in Dome, then under “LocalUpdatesDirectory” and “NetworkUpdatesDirectory”
- Input both the Local Update Location (LocalUpdatesDirectory) and Server Update Folder (NetworkUpdatesDirectory)
- Ready to Install: Ensure all information is correct on this page before clicking Install
- Reboot tablet
Ensure equipment is input into Configuration Items and Active Lists in Dome
- Open Dome, Click Reference Edit
- Navigate to Equipment in Configuration Items and look for the Equipment name existing. If it does not exist, create a new token. If it exists, ensure all information is correct and it is in the appropriate Active Lists.
Server Address Configuration
- Open Mobile on the tablet. Press F5 and open the Administration Menu, then click Server Address
- Input the IP and Port information to connect to the server(s) hosting Pitram Services
Configure Equipment to the Tablet
- Return to Administration Menu, then click Configuration
- Under “Equipment” click the name of the equipment on the right
- In this menu, select the correct equipment name for this tablet
- Close menu
Install Adhoc Network Service
- Open web browser, and navigate to the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\adhoc folder in the server that contains the PitramAdhocNetworkService.exe file. For example http://SERVERIP/adhoc/
- Click and Run PitramAdhocNetworkService.exe
- Select Destination Location: Select appropriate folder for Adhoc installation
- Continue installation and confirm information is correct
- In File Explorer, navigate to ProgramFiles x86\Micromine\PITRAM\Configuration\Machine folder and open PitramAdhocNetworkService.xml
- Scroll to the Lines containing <PrisConnectionSettings></> and ensure all information is correct
- Open Services application on the tablet
- Scroll to PITRAM Ad Hoc Network Service
- Right click, Start
- If starts successfully, right click, and change the startup settings from Manual to Automatic
For Data sources, process is complete. Please restart the tablet and open Mobile.

Install PITRAM Postman
- Open web browser, and navigate to the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\postman folder in the server that contains the PostmanSetup.exe file. For example http://SERVERIP/postman/
- Click and Run PostmanSetup.exe file
- Select Destination Location: Select appropriate folder for Postman installation
- Continue installation and confirm information is correct
- In File Explorer, navigate to C:\ProgramData\Micromine\PITRAM\Configuration\Machine folder and open PostmanService.xml
- Scroll to the Lines containing <PrisConnectionSettings></> and ensure all information is correct
- Open Services application on the tablet
- Scroll to PITRAM Postman
- Right click, Start
- If starts successfully, right click, and change the startup settings from Manual to Automatic
- Restart tablet and open Mobile
