Overview:
Event Editor is a powerful tool used to edit, and validate data entry along the shifts, anyways, sometimes is needed to group the activities that the control room operators and the maintenance crew can do.
Option 1: Modify Configuration File
Steps:
- Close Event Editor.
- Go to the directory C:\ProgramData\Micromine\PITRAM\Configuration\Machine
- Open the file EventEditorOptionsConfig.xml in edition mode.
- Change the value in the tag MaintenanceViewMode from false to true.
- Open Event Editor.
Option 2: Modify User Role
This option only works if Require Event Editor authentication is setup in Pitram Portal under System | General Configuration.
Steps:
- As an administrator, log into Pitram Portal
- Click on System Module
- Select Manage Roles
- Edit Role to set set this view for. In the example below, we are using Maintenance.

Under actions, set the following values.
- Permission - Full Access or View.
- Site - Leave default *
- Application - Event Editor
- Service - Maintenance View
- Item - *
- Click okay to update
- Next time user in this role accesses EE it will load to the maintenance view. The rest of Event Editor will not be accessible.
