While the large number of events and information on event editor is often great, it can be even better to filter the events to just show those required. When editing events, the view required is often only the equipment function, any changes to the location of the equipment and any entry of summed measures. This article walks through the creation of views to show this information.
Creating the Views:
- First right click on an existing view and click create new view:
- Clear any existing filters by clicking on the "clear Filter" button at the bottom right:
- Click Edit Filter at the bottom right to open up the advanced filter options:
-
Click the "+" Icon to add another key and click add condition
-
Here we will filter the equipment. For the yellow box choose equipment, the blue box you can either choose Begins with or contains. Then in the green box type the required letters. In my example, I have two Longholes called "Auto_PD001" and "Auto_PD002" so I am selecting equipment contains "PD".
Note* Choosing contains or begins with instead of equals or "is any of" allows the view to automatically filter in new equipment. If a new Longhole arrives onsite called "Auto_PD003" it would still show in this view.
-
Next we want to filter the events to only include location changes and summed measures. Click the plus next to the And at the top, then click add group
- Change the second purple box from AND to OR
-
Click on the plus next to the OR box and add a new condition
-
Change both yellow boxes to "Event Type" and the blue boxes to equals. Then make one green box "Allocate equipment to location" and the other "Record summed measure against equipment"
This filter now reads:
Only show events if:
Equipment Contains "PD" AND Event Type is Allocate to location OR Event Type is Record Summed measure against equipment.
you can then rename this view to something like "Longhole Measures only".
Do this again for each equipment function or as required.
