How to: Manage Olap Cube Generation

The guide has been developed to explain the process for managing the frequency of refreshing the DOMECube.

Overview

The DOMECube is hosted on SSAS and needs to be periodically refreshed with the latest data from the PITRAMReporting database.  The function to manage this is available as a scheduled task within the Pitram Reporting module.

Olap Cube Generation

1. Log into Pitram Portal and select the System module, under Administration select the "Manage Scheduled Tasks" option.

2. For the scheduled task "Olap Cube Generation" click Edit

3. Define the frequency for building the DOMECube and click Save to complete.

To view the status of the DOMECube load and build navigate to the Reporting module, expand the Analytical Services and click on the Olap Cube option to load the page. (Generally found at the very bottom of the report list on the left)
