The Event Editor Maintenance View displays information for maintenance personnel about equipment that has been assigned a primary status of "DOWN" (e.g., Brakes, Hydraulic, etc.). This article explains how to use and manage the Maintenance View.
The target audience for this article is Maintenance staff.
Prerequisite
Prior to working with the Maintenance View, your login account will need to be added to the relevant role. Contact mine control to ensure this has been actioned.
IT to install the Event Editor application on the required PC.
Log In
- Start the Event Editor application.
- At the login window log in using your standard domain account.
3. By default, the only view you are able to access is the Maintenance View.
4. Under the Shift section, click the field to display the shift you want to load.
Working with the Maintenance View Layout
Once the shift loads you will be presented with a list of equipment that have been reported to have breakdown status assigned to them. The columns include:
- Event Time - the date\time when the breakdown status was recorded against the equipment.
- Event Type - the type of event that was recorded, in this instance it will be a primary status against the equipment.
- Equipment - the name of the affected equipment.
- Primary Status - the breakdown status.
- Duration - how long the equipment has been in the breakdown status.
- Location - the location of the equipment when the breakdown status was assigned.
- Comments - Free text field for maintenance staff to enter more information and context relating to the breakdown status.
- Damage or Failure - Classification to indicate whether the component failed to damage or failure.
- Every equipment assigned a down primary status will by default be classified as "Failure", maintenance staff can update this to "Damage" as required.
Changing Primary Status
To update the primary status of the equipment, under the Primary Status column click the field and select the from the list of available states.
Adding Comments
To add a comment against an event, under the Comments column click in the field and add your comments and click OK to complete.
Update the Damage or Failure Classification
To update the classification, under the Damage or Failure column click in the field and select Damage.
Open a new Shift
To open a new shift, at the top left-hand corner click the Open Shift tab, from the pop-up window select the required shift and click OK to load the new shift.
