Relates to Browsers - Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge
Some modules within the Pitram Portal application refer to regional settings to deliver date/time and language functionality. To change the default language displayed in your internet browser, navigate to the browser you're using from the list below and follow the instructions.
Google Chrome:
- In Chrome, in the upper-right corner of the window, click the
icon. - Select Settings in the drop-down menu that appears.
- On the Settings window, in the left navigation menu, click the Languages option.
- Then select the Add languages button.
- You'll be presented with a list of supported languages, scroll down and tick the box for English (Australia).
- Click the Add button.
- Your newly selected language(s) should appear in the Preferred Languages section. To now choose it, click the
icon to the right of the language. - Check the box Display Google Chrome in this Language.

Click the Relaunch button, or close and reopen your Chrome browser to display the new language.
Mozilla Firefox:
- In the Firefox browser, Click the
icon in the upper-left corner of the window. - Select Settings from the drop down menu.
- Scroll down the settings page to the Language settings and select the Set Alternatives... button.
- Click Select a language to add...
- Then then select English (GB) (there in no Aus specific language for Firefox).
- Select Add.
- Now with English (GB) highlighted, Select OK.
- Now simply close and restart you browser for it to take effect.
Microsoft Edge:
- In Microsoft Edge click on the icon
in the upper-right corner of the browser window. - In the drop-down menu select Settings.
- On the left hand side menu of Settings, select Language.
- Then click Add Languages.
- Scroll down and tick the box for English (Australia).
- Then click Add.
- English (Australian) will now appear as an option under Preferred Languages, select the
icon on the end. - Click Display Microsoft Edge in this Language.
- Now simply click the Restart button to apply the configuration.
