From site to site there may be a requirement or request to create a new custom attribute in Reference Data.
The following guide will take you through the steps and explain the different options that are available.
Firstly we need to navigate to the following path on the server hosting Pitram Portal.
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\DOME\Configuration\Services\Deployment
In the folder we will see a number of .xml files and .sql scripts.
Look for the ReferenceData.xml and make a backup of it. This backup will be restored should anything go wrong with the editing of the file.
Once the backup has been made, Open the original file and start editing.
Depending on what attribute you would like to add there will be 2 x separate entries to add\edit in the related sections.
An example displayed below, is for the Mine Area attribute. You may copy an existing attribute and then rename it and set the required fields.
Remember to open and close the group with the </GroupAttribute> flag.
After adding in this group you will need to then find the following section -
Add in the newly created group name and then save the .xml.
After saving, remember to restart the Pitram portal connectors. Your newly created reference data attribute will now be available in the deploy reference data section in Pitram Portal -
