Automated Status Change – Entry of Measure Against Equipment

The article describes the process of configuring automatic status changes for equipment upon receiving specific measurements. It guides users through navigating to "Groups | Statuses | Equipment Status Rules" and expanding reference data if necessary. Users are instructed to create a new rule by entering a code, description, and abbreviation, and configuring attributes such as equipment, locations, initial equipment states, measure code, status selection mode, manual selection states, and automatic selection status. The setup ensures that equipment status changes automatically or with a prompt, depending on the selected mode. The process is verified using WebApiMobile, and changes are published and recorded in the Event Editor.

Automatic status changes upon entry of a measure against equipment are used to assist the automation process.

Navigate to Groups | Statuses | Equipment Status Rules.
If you don’t see this option in the list, you may need to expand it:

1. Click on the More Actions | Expand Reference Data option in the navigation panel header.
2. Select Configuration Items | Statuses | Equipment Status Rules | EntryOfMeasureAgainstEquipER.

   

3. Click the OK button to save the settings.
    

   To define an automatic status change for equipment upon receiving a measure:

   1. Navigate to Configuration Items | Statuses | Equipment Status Rules | EntryOfMeasureAgainstEquipER in the navigation panel.
   2. Click the Open option in the header.
   3. To create a token, click New Rule.
   4. Enter a Code, Description, and Abbreviation for the new rule.
      
      
   5. Enter the following attribute values

      Equipment 
      This active list contains the actual equipment units to which the status change will be applied.
      The active list must exist before this definition can be completed.
      
      Locations 
      Select the appropriate active list from the list of Pitram| Location active lists. 
      
      InitialEquipmentStates 
      The excavator will be in one of the states listed in this active list.
      
      MeasureCode
      Select the appropriate measure for the excavator.
      
      StatusSelectionMode 
      Automatic - Prompt
      Select one of the four possible modes.
      The mode determines how the changes will be implemented.
      Automatic - Prompt means that you will be prompted to accept or reject the automatic change.
      
      ManualSelectionStates  
      If the StatusSelectionMode is set to ManualSelection, the states listed in the selected active list will be presented.
      The control room operator will manually select the appropriate status from this list.
      
      AutomaticSelectionStatus
      If the StatusSelectionMode is set to any of the three Automatic modes, Tramming is the status that will be applied to the unit of equipment.
   6. Click OK to apply the settings and close the dialog window.
   7. Click the Close option in the header.
   8. Click Publish in the navigation header to publish the changes.

   9. To verify the automatic status change rule for equipment, use WebApiMobile:

      

      

      The status was changed after the measure was submitted.
      

   10. The Event Editor will also display a record of the automatic status change.
       
       
       
   11. This completes the configuration of the dispatch weighting factors.
