This article describes the process of deploying, configuring, and using waypoints in the Pitram Portal system.
1. Deployment of Waypoint Configuration in Pitram Portal
To manage and configure waypoints, the corresponding data groups need to be deployed. Follow these steps:
-
-
Open the Reference Edit service in Portal (DOME).
-
In the Other Actions menu, select Deploy Reference Data.
-
In the Reference Data Deployment window:
-
Expand the Configuration Items branch.
-
Expand the Locations branch.
-
Check the Waypoint groups – this will automatically select all related attributes.
-
-
Click OK to deploy the data.
-
After the deployment is complete, waypoints can be configured in Reference Edit.
-
To publish the data, click Publish.
2. Map Configuration for Creating Waypoints
To create waypoints, you need to define the map configuration with coordinates in the Waypoint section:
-
Navigate to Configuration Items > Locations > Waypoint.
-
In the Other Actions menu, select Configuration.
- Upload a pre-prepared raster image of the map and a text file with coordinates.
- Click Save, after which the map will be displayed in the system.
- To publish the data, click Publish
3. Waypoint Configuration in Pitram Portal
If you are working with waypoints, it will be more convenient to zoom in on the image using the zoom slider on the left. Move the slider up to zoom in or down to zoom out. You can also use the mouse scroll wheel and the navigation wheel in the upper left corner of the screen.
3.1. Creating and Configuring Waypoints
-
Navigate to Configuration Items > Locations > Waypoint.
-
Click New and drag the appearing circle to the desired location (its size can be adjusted).
-
Click + in the center of the circle to add a new waypoint.
-
Use Edit to edit and Delete to remove the waypoint.
-
To change the waypoint properties, double-click on it or click Edit.
-
In the General tab, enter Description, Abbreviation, and attributes marked with an asterisk (*).
3.2. Configuring Waypoint Rules
-
In the header of the Waypoint Rules tab, click New.
-
In the Waypoint Action and Criteria Definition dialog:
-
In the Action dropdown, select an action (e.g., Record Dump).
-
In the Location dropdown, select the unloading location, and in Measure, select the unit of measurement.
-
-
In the Criteria lower menu, click New to add triggering criteria.
-
In the Waypoint Criteria Definition dialog:
-
In the Criteria dropdown, select a criterion (e.g., Cycle Status).
-
Move the necessary statuses from Available Cycle States to Selected Cycle States.
-
Click OK.
-
- You can add multiple different actions with various criteria for a single waypoint.
3.3. Completing the Configuration
When waypoint configuration is complete:
-
Close the window and click Publish to make the changes available to other Pitram applications and services.
-
Keep in mind that rules do not always trigger visible actions (such as raising an alarm or rerouting a haul truck). Some rules simply record events, such as equipment location or load weight.
The waypoint configuration is now complete.
