This article details the steps to change the Connector to the OLAP Analysis services server. This may be required if the server is moved to another cluster or instance.
Note: The steps below involve editing the Pitram data within the configurations used with the dome connector. The Pitram Configuration.xml file is a critical configuration file for the Dome Connector, specifically for the Pitram application integration. It defines how the Dome Connector interacts with the Pitram Server database and related services, ensuring proper data flow and communication between systems. It is therefore critical that the following steps are understood prior to proceeding, incorrect manipulation of these settings can prevent dataflow and cause an outage. Only IT personnel with sound understanding of network infrastructures should be entrusted with execution of these steps.
Step 1: Loging into Dome.
Each system has a portal server that is used to host Dome/Pitram portal. To access and login to dome you need to enter either http://*IP Address of server*/dome or https://*IP Address of server*/dome depending on your site's configuration. Additionally, your user will need access to the systems module within dome. Contact your sites Pitram administrator or Micromine Pitram Support if you do not have sufficient access.
Step 2: Access System Module - Manage Connectors and Applications
Once logged in, you can view your available modules along the top. When you have access, the system module is the one on the far left:
Click this module to load the module and see the available pages, click on Manage Connectors and Applications:
Step 3: Take a screenshot of the current layout before changing anything as reference for reverting
Once the page loads, click on Pitram to view the Pitram configurations:
Take a screenshot of the current configuration prior to making any changes.
Step 4: Edit the Connector Value for OLAP Analysis Services Server
Click on Database OLAP Analysis Services Server, you will see the arrow indicate the row you have selected:
Click on edit at the bottom, then enter your new server name:
Click OK, then click validate to test the validation. If the validation still fails please contact Micromine Pitram Support and provide the change made along with the new server detail and the initial screenshot from step 3.
Contact support if you see this error.
If the connector validates successfully, the server has been updated and connection established.
